Go to the sign-up genius linked on this page and reserve the actual date you want. For example, If your child’s birthday is September 1st, sign up for September 1st. You may begin painting between 5-6 pm on the day prior to your reservation. If your reservation is for a Monday; you will need to paint it on Friday afternoon as school gates will be locked on Sunday.

Your reservation is for a 24 hour period beginning at 5pm the day before to 5pm on the date you have it rented. For example, if you rent it for September 1st; the rock may be painted beginning at 5pm on August 31st and will remain painted until 5pm on September 1st. At that time, the family who has reserved it for the following day can begin painting.

In keeping with the Buist Academy Code of Conduct and Behavior Guidelines, Buist Academy will not allow any bullying, profanity, obscenity or derogatory language to be painted on the Royal Rock.

Please also refrain from any political, divisive or discriminatory remarks.

If there is any question as to the content or images painted on the rock, we reserve the right to remove/repaint it without notice.

The cost to rent the rock is $15 for a 24 hour period

100% of your donation goes to Buist Academy.

PLEASE ALSO MAKE SURE TO RESERVE YOUR DATE VIA THE SIGN-UP GENIUS. YOU MUST BOTH PAY AND RESERVE A DATE TO LOCK IN YOUR RESERVATION.

You will typically need two cans of spray paint for the base coat and additional paint for your design.

For more intricate designs, craft paint, foam brushes and even stencils will be useful.

NO SHARPIES OR GLITTER, PLEASE!

The rock can be towel dried and the paint will adhere even in the rain if you want to brave the elements.

If you prefer not to paint in the rain, visit the calendar and reserve another day. We will honor your payment if the weather prohibits you completing your reservation.

We will not honor date transfers if you forgot, were late or otherwise missed the opportunity due to reasons within your control.

Rock reservations are on a first come, first serve basis so make your reservations TODAY!! If the date you want is already reserved, choose the next available date, either before or after.
