On February 18th, the Buist Academy Foundation kicks off a fundraising campaign that ends with students participating in the Royal Fun Run on Friday, March 6th. In previous years, we have used the Boosterthon organization to manage the fundraising event, but this year it is being organized by parent volunteers and school staff in an effort to retain more of the generous donations from our families and friends. Parents are welcome and encouraged to volunteer and attend! 


Location: Gadsdenboro Park (near the SC Aquarium) 

K, 1st + 2nd – 12:00 pm 

3rd, 4th + 5th – 1:00 pm 

6th, 7th + 8th – 2:00 pm 


The money raised will be used to fund crucial programs not paid for by the district, including the supplemental learning programs (AR Reading, News ELA, IXL etc.), STEM lab equipment, and teacher professional development. We need your help to make this campaign a success! Your child has been given his/her own personal fundraising webpage AND this pledge sheet. The address of your child’s personal fundraising webpage can be found on the sheet included in this package or go to the WWW.BUIST.MYFUNRUN.COM, click ‘Donate to Participant’, then enter your child’s first or last name or participant number. Donations can be cash, check (made payable to “Buist Academy Foundation”), or credit card (credit card donations do incur a fee). Be sure to check for any MATCHING gifts from employers! Place cash and check donations in the envelope and send the money in with your child or drop it in the office on February 14th. 

To receive pledges, share your child’s personal fundraising webpage address with family and friends around the world by clicking on one of the “Share” icons at the top right of your child’s personal fundraising webpage. Please help encourage your child to surpass his/her goal of $100. Every dollar counts! You can help your children reach his/her goal with just a few simple emails. The school, teachers and parent volunteers are all working hard to make this campaign a success and improve our school.

All donations must be entered online to receive credit for prizes. Go to the DONATE TO PARTICIPANT tab. On your student’s online pledge page, look towards the bottom right corner and click on the gray button labeled “Student Resources.” Then click on “Enter an Offline Donation.”
