Last Saturday night, hundreds of Buist parents came together for the Foundation’s big fundraiser. Half of the Memminger Auditorium held rows of tables with silent auction items, which ranged from classroom-created baskets to kayaks, bicycles, and bottles of wine. At about 8 p.m., attendees were wrangled to their seats for a sit-down dinner and live auction, emceed by Tommy Dew.
The evening was a big success. Numbers are still being tallied, so we don’t have the final amount raised as of yet. But a big hand goes out to co-chairs Beth Simmons and Cappi Wilborn and their vast team of volunteers who have been tirelessly working since last summer, putting this night together.
